George W. MacRae, SJ (1928-1985) was an internationally known scholar in the field of New Testament studies. He received his doctorate from Cambridge University in New Testament studies, taught New Testament at Weston School of Theology and was Stillman Professor of Roman Catholic Studies at Harvard University, where he was serving as acting dean of the theology faculty at the time of his death.
