The first volume introduces the central figures and debates culminating in the Councils of Nicea and Chalcedon among which the theologies of the early church were hammered out.
Author Biography
Justo L. ^Gonzalez Justo L. Gonzalez is visiting professor of theology at the interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, Georgia. A Methodist minister, he is a member of the Rio Grande Conference. He is the author also of Christian Thought Revisited and Each in Our Own Tongue, published by Abingdon Press.
