Violent conflict within developing countries is the critical issue for the 21st century, causing hardship to millions. This book offers the first major comparative study of the causes and consequences of conflict to integrate and address the issue of self-determination and globalization, revealing the complex and contradictory interaction between economic and cultural globalization.
