Author Biography
W. Thomas Smith, Jr. is a journalist who has reported from battlefields from the Balkans to the Middle East. He has written for USA Today, George, U.S. News & World Report, Business Week, and National Review Online. A former infantry leader with the 5th Marines, the Corps' most decorated regime, Smith was also a contributor to the book, A Nation Changed: One Year After 9/11.
